You’re driving around, checking out the pretty houses you want to buy and find the perfect one!  It’s a cute little craftsman home with a nice porch and pretty paint.  What you don’t see are overgrown shrubs, weeds in the flower beds, and grass lopping 6 inches on to the sidewalk!  That’s because you almost immediately dismiss those houses.  Curb appeal is real and the first thing prospective buyers notice when they are considering your home, either in person or on the Internet.

This doesn’t mean you need to go nuts, but just take the time to mow *AND* edge your yard regularly.  Trim the hedges, pull some weeds.  It’s not hard, but you have to do it routinely or things get out of hand.  If you have to, spend some money to hire a yard crew.

Take some pride in your home, it will help you sell some day…plus, your neighbors will like you a little more 🙂
